Breaking Records: Hubballi Fitness Club’s 9th Half Marathon Concludes

Hubballi: In a spectacular display of endurance and community spirit, the Hubballi Fitness Club concluded the 9th edition of the Hubballi Half Marathon (HHM) on November 19.

This year’s marathon was a celebration of inclusivity, introducing the 15kms category for runners eager to bridge the gap between 10kms and the half marathon (21.1kms). Additionally, the 3kms Maja Run brought joy to children and beginners, irrespective of age, without the pressure of prizes.

Notable Achievements: Fastest Male Athlete @21.1kms: Clocking an impressive 01:07:12, Mr. Nicholas Rugut (BIB no: 23007) from Kenya emerged as the fastest male athlete in the half marathon. Fastest Female Athlete @21.1kms: Lillian Rutto (BIB no: 21083) from Nigeria showcased exceptional prowess, claiming the title of the fastest female athlete in the half marathon with a time of 01:21:57.

15kms Category: Fastest Male Athlete: Uttam Patil (BIB no: 15096) from Maharashtra dominated the 15kms race with a swift time of 00:48:42. Fastest Female Athlete: Prajakta Shinde (BIB no: 17010) from Kolhapur exhibited outstanding speed, finishing the 15kms in 00:55:17.

10kms Category: Fastest Male Athlete: Sushant Jedhe (BIB no: 12072) from Kolhapur set the pace at 00:31:26. Fastest Female Athlete: Srushti Redekar (BIB no: 10289) from Maharashtra dazzled with a time of 00:39:11.

5kms Category:Fastest Male Athlete: Omkar Kumbhar (BIB no: 50190) from Kolhapur blazed through the 5kms in an incredible 00:15:21. Fastest Female Athlete: Priyanka Oksa (BIB no: 50502) from Maharashtra conquered the 5kms in 00:20:59.

The Hubballi Fitness Club expressed gratitude to all participants, sponsors for contributing to the success of HHM-2023.
